A Matter of Squares.

Hello Friends, Followers and Visitors,

We've had a lovely day here today,  really warm and some sunshine, just perfect for giving the lawns their last cut!!!  well, I hope so lol!     Had to keep stopping to empty the lawnmower box as the grass was so wet, the mower didn't throw the grass cuttings back into the box, never mind, the lawns are now cut,  the next big job will be the Autumn leaves lol!     We are surrounded by trees which are beautiful but boy, do they create a huge amount of work !!    we do have a leaf blower/sucker but it still takes a lot of time.   Hope you enjoyed your weekend.   Thank you all for your wonderful comments and visits on my last post, much appreciated.

The card I want to share with you now was made for my friend Jane's charity coffee morning.   For this card I have used a set of stamps I have had for many years called Patterns & Petals by Hero Arts.  I also used  a Kaleidacolor Rainbow Dye ink pad - Pastel.

Using a spare piece of white card, stamp the four flowers from the stamp set onto it, using the purple/blue/green end of the rainbow ink pad.

Stamp the same again but this time, using the orange/deep pink/purple end of the ink pad.

Die-cut each of these images using the second smallest die from the die set.   Take some deep purple card and lay the same die onto it and draw around the outer edges of the die, then cut out by hand.   This will make a slightly larger square on which to matt each image.   Repeat the above but this time,  using green card.   Glue the images  to the matts then glue these squares equally onto a 6" x 6"  white scalloped card.

Stamp the 'Friends Always' onto a piece of white card, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss using the purple embossing powder.   Colour this with the inks from the rainbow  ink pad,  using a piece of cut 'n' dry foam.   Fix this to the centre of the base card using sticky foam pads.

Glue an organza ribbon bow to the top left of the sentiment, then glue the purple/white spotted ribbon bow on top of the organza bow.

The 'Friends Always' sentiment stamp was one of a set,  given free with a Craft Magazine, sorry not sure which one lol!    Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you have enjoyed your visit.   Enjoy the rest of your week and I will be back again very soon with another card, made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts, until then, take care of yourselves.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                 Hugs   Jennifer xx,
