Evening Sunset.

Hi there Peeps,

Hope you've had a good start to your week.   Much better weather here today but still oh so cold lol!   I just thought I'd slip in another quick  card for you which I made for Imagination Crafts. back in August 2014.   For this I have used their 'Birdsong' stencil which was on  special offer on Imagination's latest  show on the Hochanda  TV  channel recently.   A  lovely stencil which makes a quick effective  card.

Make a base card from white card stock.   Matt a smaller piece of black card onto the white.   Trim a smaller piece of green card and matt onto the black, which will leave a small   border of the black showing. Take a smaller piece of white card and  colour with the  distress inks, creating a sunset and green hills.

Lay the birdsong stencil on top of the coloured card and using the metal spatula, spread the Black stars Sparkle Medium over the design.

Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.    When dry, matt this image onto the green card, leaving a quarter inch border of the green card showing.     This is a very quick and easy card to make and really,  does not need any other embellishments, the picture says it all.   A lovely  evening sunset, filled with birdsong.    Hope you like it.   I'll be back soon.   Stay warm and most of all be happy lol!

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                            Happy crafting,   Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Put on your Dancing Shoes

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you've all enjoyed your weekend.   We have had a quiet one, Grandson away for the weekend, so
we have been guinea pig sitting lol!   she's been as good as gold, no bother at all.   We have seen some sunshine too!  although it is still bitterly cold but we shouldn't complain as it is still only February lol! and we do live up in the hills.   I have a card for you tonight which was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts and uses their gorgeous rice papers.   These papers are stronger than they look, they are strengthened by threads of silk and cotton and they look great if they have torn,  fluffly edges.   The best way to tear them is to wet them with water and a paint brush, where you want to tear it and the wet paper just pulls away, leaving a pretty edge which blends into your card.

Fold the ready creased, white scalloped card down the centre crease line, making an 8"x8" base card on which to work.

Take the sheet of rice paper and decide which section of it you want on the front of your card.   Make this slightly smaller than the base card.   To get the fringed edge, paint a line of water  around all four edges of the paper, the size you want and gently pull the paper away around the wet line.   When it dries, which will only be a couple of minutes or so, colour the edges with the pink tulip alchemy wax.   Glue this to your base card, for this I used PVA glue.

Take the second piece of the same rice paper and cut out the music circle, no. 7 oval, the nearest boot and the advertisement at the bottom of the design.   Glue these elements onto some white card.   When dry, cut out and glue on top of the original design on your base card, using silicone glue, to give some dimension to your card.

Colour a piece of white card with the sax blue Starlight paint.   Die-cut the solid  butterfly using the Memory Box die.   Die-cut the open butterfly (again from Memory Box)  and colour with the mint Starlight paint.   Add a touch of the pink tulip Alchemy wax to the wings.   Fix the open butterfly on top of the solid and   glue the butterfly to the left-hand side of the base card.

Die cut one medium, one large and one small flower  from white card, using the Sizzix die set.     Next die cut two large flowers from white card and colour one with  cobalt and the other with the Japanese Jade Alchemy waxes.   Wind these into spirals and glue  to make the flowers, as in quilling.

Glue these flowers to the top right hand corner of the card.    Well that's all from me for the time being.   Have a good week and I'll be back again in a day or so.   Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and read my blog, I do hope you've enjoyed your visit  and if you would like to leave me a comment,    I would be delighted.   See you soon.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                               Big Hugs,   Jennifer xx.

Golden Clematis.

Hi there Lovelies,

We had some lovely sunshine here today !   very cold but just so nice to see the sun.   I do hope you've all had a good day, whatever you have been doing.   Tonight I am sharing another card I made for Imagination Craft's most recent show, which was not shown.   I have used their gorgeous  'clematis' stamp.   I do like using acetate on my cards, so I decided to use it on this one.   I  find acetate difficult to photograph though, so apologies in advance lol!!

I used an 8"x8" white scalloped card as my base card.   Take a piece of teal card and wrap a  1" piece of lavender organza/silk edged ribbon across the middle of the teal card, securing on the back.   Matt this onto the base card., leaving a border of the white base card showing.

Die-cut four corners using the Creative Expressions die, from gold mirror card and glue one in each corner.
Take a piece of heatproof acetate and stamp the 'clematis' onto it, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Cut around the image and put to one side for the moment.

Take a piece of white card and paint with the Sax Blue, Bright Maroon and Mint Starlight paints, blending the colours together.    Take the Spearmint Sparkle Medium and rub over the coloured card, you can use cut n ' dry foam but I prefer to use my fingers lol!  (It does wash off  ! )

When this is dry, fix it behind the acetate, putting  the Magi-bond glue behind the gold embossing so it won't be seen.   Matt this onto a piece of gold mirror card, leaving a small border of the gold showing, then matt this onto a slightly larger piece of lavender card.

Matt this onto the base card on top of the ribbon.   Glue a ribbon bow to the left hand side of the card.

That's it folks, card is finished.      Hope you like it.   Have a fabulous weekend and I'll be back soon.
Take care of yourselves until then.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                            Happy crafting,  Hugs  Jennifer xx.

Poppy Time.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Well here we are again lol, time for me to share another card with you all.   Hope your week has got off to a  good start.   The weather here has been a little better, no rain for once and with a little bit of sunshine every now and again.   The card I would like to share with you tonight was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  for their recent shows on the Hochanda TV Channel.   They have re-introduced this stamp and I'm so pleased they have.   I worked with this stamp way back in 2006/2007.   I loved it then and still do now!  it is just so different.

Fold the cream card down the centre crease line, making an  8"x8" base card on which to work.   Cut a piece  of red card approximately 6"x6" and matt onto the centre of the base card.

Cut a smaller piece of grey card and lay the 'Jute' stencil onto it and spread the Ruby Gold Sparkle Medium over the design, using the metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

In the meantime, stamp the poppies onto a piece of black card using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Cut out a scalloped square, keeping the poppies in the centre, using the square scalloped Sizzix die.   Mat this onto a slightly larger square of the red card.

Matt the now stencilled grey card onto the red, then the poppies image, onto the grey card.

Using the left-over black card, after die-cutting the black scalloped square, cut it in half from one corner to the opposite corner, giving you two large corner pieces.   Glue one of these to the top left and one to the bottom right.

Glue 3 gemstones to the top right and bottom left corners. - Card finished.

Hope you like it.   See you all again a a few days.   Enjoy the rest of your week.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                Big hugs,   Jennifer xx.

A Rose for all Occasions.

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope your weekend is going well, despite the dreary weather!   I keep telling myself that Spring is around the corner and that makes me feel a whole lot better lol!   The little snowdrops have appeared  in the garden,  I do love snowdrops, one of the first signs of Spring.

Tonight I have a card to share with you which I made for the  Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. channel  just recently.   This 'Shadow Rose' stamp is just so beautiful.    This is one Sue & Harvey have brought back and I'm so pleased they have, I worked with this  art stamp many years ago and I loved it then,  and I still do.   It can be used in so many ways, you just have to think outside of the box lol!   anyway I hope you like what I have done with this stamp,

Fold the light  cream card down the centre crease line, making an 8"x8" base card on which to work.   Matt a smaller piece of maroon coloured card onto the base card, leaving quite a large border of the cream base card showing.

Take a smaller piece of  cream hammered card and colour around all four  edges with  the Inca Gold and Bronze Alchemy Waxes.   Matt this onto the maroon card, leaving a small border of the maroon showing.

Take a smaller piece of maroon card and lay the Scallop Shell stencil on top, then spread the Ruby Gold Sparkle Medium over the design, using the metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Wrap some  ribbon around the centre of the card,  securing on the back and matt this onto the cream card with the coloured edges.

Stamp the shadow rose onto a piece of the hammered cream card, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with the aged scarlett embossing powder.   Colour the background with the Inca Gold and  Bronze  Alchemy waxes, then polish with a piece of tissue or kitchen roll.

Round off the corners of the shadow rose using a corner rounder punch  and matt onto a piece of maroon card, slightly larger than the shadow rose image.

Matt this onto the base card and add a ribbon bow to the right-hand side.   Glue 3 nail heads to each side of the base card and your card is finished.     Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, please pop back again.   Have a peaceful, relaxing Sunday.      See you soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                Big Hugs,  Jennifer xx.

Dance Like There's Nobody Watching.

Hi there Fellow Bloggers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you've all had a good day and are looking forward to the weekend, whatever you have planned.  The weather does not sound good here,  wet and windy lol!  the only saving grace it is going to be a little warmer for a while, then it's back to more cold weather !   can't win lol  at least the snow has gone.   Thank you for visiting my blog.   I would like to welcome my newest follower, I do  hope enjoy your visits.

Tonight I have  another card to share with you which I made for Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V Channel on Wednesday and Thursday  of this week.   I do hope you were able to tune in.   Five fabulous shows, so many great demos from Sue and the lovely Lisa B.    So many 'sell outs' lol!  I'm not in the least surprised lol! such great products.     Looking forward to the next show, which I believe will be very soon.    I will let you know  in good time.

The card I have for you tonight  was made using one on Imagination's newest stamps - 'Ballroom Dancers.'    I just love this stamp, so.......different and it can be used in so many different ways.

Fold the card down the centre crease line, making an 8"x8" base card on which to work.   Take a smaller piece of red card and lay the  stencil onto it and spread some gold shine  Sparkle Medium  over part of the design on the bottom right hand corner, using the metal spatula.   Repeat this on the top left corner of the red card.   Remove the stencil and leave the images to dry.

When dry,  punch a hole in the top right and bottom left corners of the red card and fix a gold/pearl brad in each.   Glue this card to the base card.

Take some white card  and using a Versamark pad, stamp the dancers onto it, then heat emboss with black embossing powder.   Cut around the design and round off all four corners, using the corner rounder punch.   Matt this onto a slightly larger piece of gold mirror card, rounding off the corners again.   Matt this onto the base card, at a slight angle.

Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white card, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Trim around the sentiment and matt onto a piece of black card, leaving a tiny border of the black showing.   Glue this to the left of the dancers,

Well that's this card finished.   Please don't forget that this is an 'art' stamp',  so please do not worry if part of the background does not emboss, this adds to the 'arty' effect.   As I am a stamper at heart, I will no doubt be using this beautiful stamp many more times.   In future blogs  I will show you  some different ways to use it.   Take care of yourselves and have a happy, safe and warm weekend.   Until next time.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

Happy Crafting,   Big Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Another 'Sneaky Peek' at one of my cards for imagination Craft's Show on Hochanda TV.

Good evening  Fellow Bloggers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you managed to watch Sue and Lisa on Hochanda T.V. at 8pm this evening.   What a brilliant show and oh! those fabulous new colours of Starlight paints, I love them, so pretty and rich.   Tonight I would like to share another of my cards which got a showing on tonight's programme.   For this I have used the 'foiling technique.'     I have also used one of  Imagination Craft's  gorgeous new stamps.

Begin by folding the card down the centre crease line, making an 8"x8" base card on which to work.   Matt a square of lavender paper onto the base card, leaving a narrow border of the cream showing.

Take a slightly smaller piece of cream card and lay the 'scallop shell' stencil onto it, then rub the distress inks through the design.   As the stencil is not big enough to cover the whole piece of cream card, you will have to keep moving the stencil, keeping the pattern correct, in order to fill the whole piece of card.   This does take a little time but I think it is worth it in the end.   Do be careful not to smudge the ink when moving the stencil around the card.

Wash and dry the stencil, then lay it back in position on the inked shell pattern.   Using some cut n' dry foam or your finger (I prefer to use my finger but it does get colour stained but it does eventually wash off lol!) and rub the Sparkle Medium through the design on the stencil.   As you rub the Sparkle Medium , the friction flattens the glitter and pushes it to the outside edges of the stencil, leaving the centre clear.   This is called the foiling technique.   It also outlines the shells on the inked design.

Take some white card and stamp the 'cow parsley' onto it, using a Versamark pad, then using a heat gun, heat emboss with white embossing powder.   Colour over this with the distress inks, rub off some but not all of the inks from the white embossed areas.   Colour the edges of the stamped image with the 'bright fuschia' Starlight paint and add a little 'old rose' Sparkle Medium around the edges too.   Cut a slightly larger square of blue card and dry emboss using the 'mountain stream' stencil, then glue the cow parsley image to it.

Matt this onto a larger piece of lavender paper, then onto your shell patterned card.    Next fix a piece of blue satin ribbon across the front of the patterned card, approximately 1" up from the bottom and glue this card to the base card.

Glue a ribbon bow to the centre of the ribbon and glue three silver domes to the top left and bottom right of the image.

Please don't forget to tune in to the Hochanda T.V. channel tomorrow  (Thursday 18th Feb.)  at 9am. 12pm.  4pm. and 7pm.  GMT  to see Sue and Lisa B demonstrating these fab new products.    I'll see you again soon.

                                                                    love and rainbows,

                                                                  Big Hugs    Jennifer xx.

A 'Sneaky Peek' at one of my Cards for Imagination Craft's T.V Shows 17th/18th Feb.

Good evening Followers. Friends and Visitors,

Hope you are all managing to keep warm in this freezing cold weather lol!   I haven't crossed the doorstep today!   didn't really need to, so have had a chilled out, (excuse the pun lol)  relaxed day.   Spent some time in my craft room having a play with my new Imagination Craft's stamps.   They're just  fabulous.    One or two  from many years ago and I'm so pleased Sue decided to bring  some of these back, as these stamps are just so special and unusual.    The new ones are also stunning and I'm really enjoying using them.   I am a stamp girl at heart lol!   stamping is my real passion.    My samples were posted yesterday, so hopefully Sue has received  them in time for her shows on the Hochanda T.V. channel tomorrow evening at 8pm.   I do hope you can tune in.   There will also be  4 shows on Thursday, 9am.  12pm.  4pm. and   7pm.

I would like to welcome my newest follower Julie Brooks, thanks for following and I hope you enjoy your visits.

As promised here is one of my sample cards using one of the gorgeous new stamps and stencil.

Fold the cream card down the centre crease line, making an 8"x8" base card on which to work.   Cut three narrow strips from black card and glue across the centre of the card.

Matt a piece of orange paper onto the base card, leaving a border of half an inch of the cream base card showing.

Cut a smaller piece of white card and paint around all four edges with the antique gold Starlight paint.   Matt this on top of the orange paper.

Take a smaller piece of black card and lay the stencil onto it.   Dab some Versamark through the design, using a piece of cut n' dry foam.   Remove the stencil and and using a heat gun and white embossing powder, heat emboss.   Matt this on top of the gold edged card.

Stamp the flower stamp onto a piece of black card, using the Versamark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder,    Trim around the image leaving a small border of black showing.

Cut a slightly larger piece of white card and colour the edges with the antique gold Starlight paint, as before.   Matt the image onto this gold edged card, then matt them both onto a larger square of orange paper.

Glue this to the centre of the base card.   Add a ribbon bow to the top left corner of the flower image.   Glue three orange gems to the bottom left corner of the base card.    That's the card finished, I hope you like it.

Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you've enjoyed your visit.   Please pop back soon as I will have another 'sneaky peek' for you.    Take care and keep snug and warm and remember, Spring is just around the corner, well I think it is lol!    I do hope so.    See you all soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                Big Hugs    Jennifer xx.

Butterflies and Roses MDF Box.

Hi there everyone,

Well we woke up to snow this morning !   not much mind you but it has been very cold all day..brrr.....
can't seem to get warm!   Hope you've all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for another week lol.   I spent some time this afternoon in my craft room making samples for Imagination Craft's next shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel on the 17th and 18th February.   I had one of those days where everything I did seemed to go wrong !   more seemed to end up in the waste basket lol!   but, I got there lol, ended up with a card totally different to what I had in mind.     I still have to photograph them and pack them up, then get them in the post tomorrow at the latest!

Tonight I would like to share an MDF box which I made for the Hochanda T.V. shows on 29th. January.   For this I have used Imagination Craft's gorgeous rice paper.

(1)   Paint the box inside and out with the white MDF paint.
(2)   Paint the box again inside and out with the Baltic blue MDF paint.
(3)   Paint the inside of the lid with the Menthol Starlight paint
(4)   Die-cut the lacy square by Marianne Design, from gold card and glue in a diamond shape onto the
        inside of the box lid.

(5)   Die-cut 3 butterflies using the White Rose Studio die and colour with the Sherbert and Cobalt Alchemy
        Waxes.
(6)   Glue the butterflies to the gold diamond using silicone glue, lifting the wings slightly.

(7)   Cut and glue the Script rice paper to the sides of the box  (not the lid), using PVA glue.
(8)   Glue the rice paper with the rose on it to the lid, again with PVA glue.

(9)   Lay the swirly frame border stencil on the side of the box, on top of the script rice paper and spread the
golden green Sparkle Medium over part of the design on the stencil, using the metal spatula.

(10)  Repeat the above  (number 9)  on all four sides of the box, leaving each side to dry before doing the next.

(11)  Rub the Inca gold Alchemy wax around the edges of the box.

(12)  Colour one of the Art Cutz leaves with the Peridot Alchemy wax, add a touch of the Inca gold to the
leaves and glue in the top right corner of the box lid bending the leaves up a little.

(13)  From another piece of the same rice paper, cut out the blue butterfly   (the two nearest wings only) and
Glue to a piece of white card, cut this out and glue in position with silcone glue, lifting the wings slightly.
Add a small amount of  Inca gold to the butterfly's wings.

(14)  Rub some Inca gold wax around the edges of the lid.

That's all from me for now folks,  I'll be back very soon with some 'Sneaky peeks' at a few of my samples which I have made for Imagination Craft's shows on Hochanda TV channel  on  17th & 18th.  Feb.   I'll let you know what time the programs are on, on my next blog post.     Thanks so much for stopping by,  hope you've enjoyed your visit.   Would love it if you left me a comment, I do like to know what you think of my creations.     Catch you all soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                              Crafty Hugs,  Jennifer xx.

Bamboo Pandas.

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Yesterday I posted my last project for the 7 days, 3  friends challenge which was created by Heather Jacobs.   The lovely Amanda Branston nominated me to take part and I'm pleased she did, as I have really enjoyed taking part, so thank you Amanda.    Now it is back to normal!   Tonight I would like to share a card with you which was made for Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel last December.   I have used Imagination Craft's, Sparkle Medium and their bamboo stencil.   What else do we all think of when we think of bamboo?   yep, the gorgeous panda.     As I cannot draw and do not possess a panda die, I improvised and used a Nellie Snellen metal stencil I purchased many years ago.   Hope you like the end result.

Fold the white, scalloped  card down the centre crease line, making an 8"x8" base card.   Matt a square of black card onto the base card, leaving a half inch border of white card showing.   Next matt a smaller piece of light green paper and then a smaller piece of black card, each time, leaving a small border.

Take a smaller piece of white card and colour the background with the Scattered straw, Victorian velvet and Tumbled glass distress inks.

Lay the bamboo stencil onto this card and tape down to your work surface with  masking tape to stop it moving and dab some Hickory smoke distress ink through the design.   Move the stencil to one side slightly, then dab the Tumbled glass ink through the design.   Keeping the stencil in position,  rub some Blue sapphire Sparkle Medium over the  bamboo,  I tend to use my finger to do this, (this is called the 'foiling' technique, the Sparkle Medium clings to the outside edges of the image and because you are rubbing it, the friction melts and flattens the glitter, which gives a much flatter appearance to the Sparkle Medium but you still get that lovely sparkle).

Tear a piece of green paper for the grassy hill and glue to the bottom of the coloured background card..   Glue this to the base card.

Using the metal panda stencil, put it through an embossing machine with some white card.   Remove from the machine and keeping the stencil in position on the card, colour the ears, eyes etc., with a black pen.   Repeat this for the second panda which faces in the opposite direction to the first one.

Cut out the pandas and glue them to the bottom of the card, sitting on the grassy bank.   Well that's it finished.   Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and if  you would like to leave me a comment I would be delighted.   See you all again soon.

                                                                    Love and rainbows,

Happy crafting and big hugs,  Jennifer xx.
