Starburst flowers.

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Tonight I have a card to share with you all that I made for Sue and Harvey of  Imagination Crafts in September 2014.    For this card I have used one of their lovely decoupage stamp sets.   This one is
called   'Starburst'  and their beautiful Sparkle Medium.

Make a base card from blue card stock.   Die-cut a scalloped oval from the centre front of the card.   Take a piece of acetate, large enough to cover over the scalloped oval aperture and colour with the alcohol inks and a blender tool.

Take some white card and brayer the Sparkle Medium over it and leave it to dry.   When dry, die-cut another scalloped oval from it.   Fix this behind the aperture, so only one edge of the scalloped edge is showing.

Next, fix the acetate behind the scalloped edged card.   Cut out a square the same size as the card front and fix behind the acetate, so as to cover up any rough edges showing inside the card.

Glue the purple gemstones around the scalloped edges.   Take more acetate and colour as before with the alcohol inks.   Stamp 1 large, 3 medium and 2 small flowers from the stamp set, onto the now coloured acetate, using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with white embossing powder.   It is important to use heatproof acetate, if you don't the acetate just shrivels up.

Fussy cut the flowers and 3D using silicone glue.   Use only the centre of one of the small flowers and 3D onto the other small flower.   Glue these to the left side of the oval.

Die-cut 2 leaf stems from white card, using the Tattered Lace die and glue on either end of your flower arrangement.

Lastly, cut 2 triangles from the left-over Sparkle Mediumed card and glue them in the top and bottom right-hand corners.     Well, the card is now finished, hope you like it.   I'll be back  in a couple of days.   In the meantime, happy crafting, just  play, experiment and above all, have fun.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.   See you all again soon

                                                                 Crafty Hugs to you all,

                                                                         Jennifer xx.
